Born and raised in central Poland, I discovered the culture of skateboarding, hip-hop, and graffiti as a teenager, and drew my first letterforms before knowing what typography even was.

After moving to the US at 21, I studied physical therapy—the family business—at a small community college in central Pennsylvania. One day, a photography student saw me doodling and asked if I could graffiti his name. My little sketch found its way to the head of the graphic design department who asked if I knew what graphic design was. She handed me two books, Russian Constructivism and Bauhaus, and the rest is history.

I soon left for New York and attended the School of Visual Arts, graduating with a BFA in Graphic Design. Since then, I’ve worked in various design fields, from editorial to packaging to print, but ultimately found my calling in branding and digital design.
